Our Shields
Are constructed of 100% Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE). Our material delivers an armor solution with unmatched ballistic stopping power.
Our RF1 shields have a V50 rating of 3258 ft/s. Our optional 4”x6” clear, NO TINT viewport that has a V50 rating of 3220 ft/s.
Marrero Armor’s trade secret manufacturing formula used in the pressing of our shields is what differentiates our armor from all others and is what gives us industry leading stopping power combined with light weight.
Our Shields
Go far beyond the NIJ minimum requirement to defeat the 7.62x51mm (M80) NATO round.
Provide multiple hit protection against the 7.62x39mm MSC and 5.56mm M193 up to 77gr. Our "Tactical" series Level III shield also defeatsthe following special threats:
• 6.5 Creedmoor (LC)
• .30-06 Springfield (LC)
Offer a unique Double Cutout (DCO) design that allows for simultaneous use of the viewport, protection for the officer and tactical employment of either a handgun or rifle weapon system.
Our Shields
Have handles that ensure the viewport is centered on the eye of the operator from the normal carry position;
• This allows for skeletal vice muscular load bearing, thus reducing muscle fatigue and allowing the operator to stay in the fight longer;
• Our standard handle is 11” horizontal or an optional “Tri-Grip” handle to help keep the shield in the vertical position.
Have an additional 2” inches of head protection above the viewport in sizes larger than 34” high.

Our Plates
Have industry leading V50 threat velocities:
• During NIJ certification testing, armor panels are subjected to “V50” testing. This is a velocity whereby a given threat type will fully penetrate the armor panel 50% of the time. The higher the V50 velocity, the better engineered and more protective is the plate.
• Our M80 V50 velocities are above 3200 fps
Are pressed in an ergonomic multi-curve shape that conforms to the torso for maximum comfort.

Our Soft Armor
Our NIJ certified soft armor comes in everything from a concealed solution to a tactical outer carrier - complete with accessories like throat, groin and bicep protection. We also offer soft armor backpack inserts.
There are two styles of soft armor, FUSION and IMPEDOR. Each of these styles are available in either HG1 / II or HG2 / IIIA. NIJ Standard 1010.06 compliant listed.
The IMPEDOR series HG2 /IIIA has passed structured FEMALE NIJ compliance testing.
